--- China Marks of BRICS Business Council SDWG During the Period of China Rotating Presidency of BRICS in 2017

Plenary conference of China Section of BRICS Business Council was held in Beijing Cosco Shipping Building on March 6^th, 2017. Xu Lirong, Chairman of China Cosco Shipping Group Co., Ltd., as President of China Section of BRICS Business Council, hosted the conference. Wang Xiaolong, BRICS Businesses Envoy from Ministry of Foreign Affairs made speeches during the conference. Other representatives from Chinese Council Units attended this conference: Wang Yupu, Chairman of Sinopec Corp.; Tian Guoli, Chairman of Bank of China Limited (BOC); Lu Yimin, General Manager and Vice-Chairman of China United Network Communications Corporation Limited (China Unicom); Xie Biao, Vice General Manager of China National Machinery Industry Corporation. Dr. Liu Zhenying, Chairman of Beijing ARC Xinxing Science & Technology Co., Ltd. as Skill Development Working Group (SDWG) Leader (namely President) of China Section of BRICS Business Council attended the conference as well. Besides, following representatives of SDWG members also attended the conference: Lai Xiaohua (President), Li Shengyu (Chief of the Dean's Office) and Huang Cheng from Guangxi Technological College of Machinery and Electricity; Cao Hongxia, Director of Daqing Welding Technology Training Center of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC); Wang Deyu, Staff of Fundamental Industrial Training Center, Tsinghua University.

During the conference, working programs of Business Council in 2017 were discussed and application of relevant enterprises for joining in Business Council Working Group was passed through deliberation. China took over the BRICS presidency officially on Jan. 1^st, 2017. China will conduct the Ninth Meeting for BRICS Leaders in early September in Xiamen, Fujian province. Based on the deliberation of Central Governments, BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition and International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS Countries, as two important achievements of BRICS Business Council SDWG, will be developed and implemented.

BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition will be held from May to August in 2017. This Competition is divided into 5 parts: BRICS Maker Competition, Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge (CIMC), Intelligent Manufacturing and 3D Printing Skills Competition, Worldskills and Machinery & Electricity Skills Competition and IIW•CWS•Arc Cup 2017 International Welding Competition. International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS Countries is established to promote the development of education, skills, training among Belt and Road and BRICS countries effectively by building an international organization and international exchange platform of technical exchanges, standard coordination, skills training and certification among Belt & Road and BRICS countries and by establishing human resources optimization system for Belt & Road and BRICS countries so as to make contributions to infrastructure construction for Chinese enterprises for going-out and to international environment construction for training certification and standard coordination and unification for Belt and Road countries.
